Police Racism...Yes, Still Rampant.

Oh, okay. I thoght it was a club concert.

My point was that Sinful immediately jumped to a conclusion without providing any evidence to support it. He then asked, rhetorically, what other explanations could possibly exist. So I provided, obnoxiously, some other possible explanations.

Traffic stops are one of the most dangerous things cops do…I a straight white 30something year old male…on 4 of the 5 occasions I have been pulled over the officer had his hand on his weapon or I saw him unsnap his holster as he approached my vehicle. Once you establish “cooperation” they usually relax a lot.

He pointed out that these guys were doing nothing, that the cop car went by and then came back and they came out with guns drawn and roughly frisked them, and then if I understand his post, let them go.

I understand that the police have a tough job and there are VERY bad people around, but it sounds as if these guys were wrongly accused of something, and it probably WAS because they were black.

Michael Medved, the conservative radio host, did a show recently about the fact that the police did not really target blacks unjustly that much, yet conceded that he had a close friend in Los Angeles who is a black conservative, who makes good money and drives a nice car and IS stopped a lot by the police. I am white and I am never stopped unless I get a speeding ticket.

So maybe, just maybe Sinful was correct, that these guys were unjustly rousted by the police. He witnessed it and din’t like what he saw.

So, just how long was Sinful watching this? Unjust rousts, as well as legitimate police actions, take some time.

Does this make sense to anyone else?

  1. These guys were across the street.

  2. There was considerable action going on on his side of the street.

  3. And he can hear the guys on the other side with absolute clarity. (enough to know that they said nothing)

Is it too late to call ‘bullshit’?
