Communist. It doesn’t work, and whenever a country tries it some nutball dictator ends up in charge and kills a whole bunch of people.
Trickle-down economics (the rich would not be rich were they generous)
Blind faith in anything
Knee-jerk politics of any stripe.
I can respect anyone who has seriously thought thru their position, and can give a coherent reason for their set of principles. But the automatic reaction of 'four legs good, two legs bad" sets my teeth on edge, and I can’t tolerate it.
That, and liberals.

You let politics get in the way of getting laid? :shakes head ruefully:
I totally agree with you here.
I am tolerant of most political beliefs/philosophies, even though I disagree with most of them. The key word here is tolerant, which is not the same as acceptance. As an example, I can tolerate a coworker who holds Marxist views, though I do not accept the Marxist philosophy.
But there are some people I do not even tolerate, such as racist, nazi skinheads, and followers of Christian Identity.
Wasn’t a matter of letting it get in the way of anything… Little Matt was so disgusted he decided to stage a little civil disobedience campaign of his own.
Damn straight I do.
Sorry, forgot the

I get irritated when people’s political views can be summed up in one sentence or catchy slogan. People who go around shouting “NO BLOOD FOR OIL” and whatnot really don’t know what they’re talking about and just want to feel passionate about something. I don’t mind views different from mine as long as they’ve thought them through and considered the arguments of the other side as well.
I do get irked with people who are anti-USA just because it is cool to be anti-USA. I understand people who dislike many of America’s policies(I do too), but so many people are against my country just because…it’s popular.
I don’t hate these people or anything. Just find it annoying.
A combo of what the last two posters said. Also people who take any position out of context or without a knowledge of history.
Remarkably, I have to fully second Shodan’s sentiments here.
The next Reagan worshipper that I hear giving the Gipper sole credit for the collapse of the USSR is going to get kicked in the nuts, Batman-style.
Yabbut …
“The Iraq war could prove to be the biggest oil grab in modern history, providing hundreds of billions of dollars to U.S. oil firms – many linked to senior officials in the Bush Administration – and helping to avert a future energy crunch in the United States. But is that oil worth spilling the blood of American soldiers and Iraqi civilians who get caught in the way? This is the question Americans must ask themselves if we are to have an honest debate on the merits of our actions in Iraq.”
… doesn’t roll off the tongue very well or fit on a protest sign.
Spiff, you said it.
Personally, I can’t stand people who hate homosexuals, people who are anti-abortion, and people who refuse to accept that there is some truth in stereotypes, otherwise they wouldn’t exist.
Also, I really dislike people who use “liberal” and “conservative” when what they really mean is “reactionary idealists with little sense and no priorities who do not require a shred of proof to believe what they are being told” and “self-serving economic fascists who have no respect for the ideas that this country was truly founded on and will do anything to gather and keep as much money as they possibly can.” Gives liberals and concservatives a bad name. Personally, I wouldn’t want to live in a country that lacked liberalism or conservatism.
Can’t stand people that haven’t figured out that technology is more important than politics.
Nuke 'em
“Mr. Gorbachev, TEAR DOWN THAT WALL!”
I’ll tell you what. I’ll roshambo you for it, but only if I can go first.
I can’t stand people who believe that more government is usually the right answer. Not that all social programs and social spending are bad, mind you, but there are certain people out there who seem to believe that the answer to every problem is more money. That sort of devition to big government drives me mad.
Also, people who are total moral relativists. I suppose it isn’t exactly a political view, but in the same veign. I understand that certain cultures have different views on certain things, and within reason those views are entitled to defrence. But, when it comes to stoning adultress women, or female circumcision or any number of other nasty cultural traditions I have no problem saying, NO, your culture is all fucked up and it isn’t right.
Racist comments of any sort end any conversation between myself and whoever made such a comment. Regardless of context.
I also cannot tolerate anti-abortion comments of any sort, other than a girl saying I personally would not have an abortion.
I actually strongly dislike anybody saying anybody else should do or not do any such-and-such a thing.
Chalk me down for Communists, Marxists, Libertarians and Hippies.
