Bring your own bottle of wine, it’s a $15 corkage fee.
I had my dog “altered” in New Orleans and it was free. And no it wasn’t done by some guy in the bathroom at Butlers, it was at a humane society establishment. I thought a lot of places will do it for free now a days?
Interresting you should ask this. My dad is a retired veterinarian, and for a little while I worked with him in his office, helping with such things.
About a month ago, some friends needed to get their cats ‘fixed’. Two of 'em. Their normal vet quoted them 800 bucks for the pair. I mentioned it to my dad, and even though he’s been out of the business for a while, he said, “That just doesn’t sound right.”
They shopped around, and found a closer place that quoted 200 for the pair, which they agreed to. Cats are fine. Guess it’s just a flexible market or some-such.
We got our present cat 8 years ago from the Madison County Humane Soc. for $45. **Dr. Richard Chaille, DVM ** does all their vet work, including initial shots, spay, and neutering, for free. I mentioned his name to salute him for that. When the pet is adopted too young to have had all those services, you take your adoption paper in to his clinic, and it’s still free.
