Poll - Futures in fiction.

  1. Which future from known fiction (Books, TV, films) would you most like to live in?

  2. Why?

  3. Which would you most like to visit (hopefully this will open the possibilites up to the many bleak dismal futures. I would like to visit a bleak future just to marvel at it, but I wouldn’t like to live in one)

  4. Why?

  5. Is there anything you’d change about your chosen future?

  6. If you want, describe a future not from known fiction (or not that you know of) that you’d like to live in. What are the politics, the technology, the type of entertainment available, the common purpose (an enemy, a goal, a place to get to etc…)

  1. Which future would you prefer: Star Trek’s.
    (Ender’s Game’s is my second pick)

1a. Why? It’s a utopia where hunger and war has been eliminated on Earth. If I wanted more, I could always try to enter Starfleet Academy to become an officer.

2a. Why? I find this future more likely than I do Trek’s. I’d be curious to see the extent of human depravity.

  2. Describe an imagined future that you’d like to live in. I’m not that creative.
