Poll: Presidential Election 1904

Hello, first off I would not have started these series had I known earlier that QIN SHI HUANGDI had already did these over a year ago. So credit to them.

But it’s no big deal, why dig out zombie threads, plus since I started it why not continue?

I was busy, but from now I will pace these polls every other day.

It is 1904, President William McKinley was assassinated in 1901 and for the past three years Theodore Roosevelt has been in the Oval Office. Now Teddy wants to win an election in his own right.

His Democratic Challenger is a rather interesting one, a New York City Court of Appeals Judge by the name of Alton B. Parker.

My last poll saw some disputes as to how to vote. So I am making it clear, you can vote as if you lived in 1904 or looking back in history and voting based on what you believe was the right candidate to win.

Feel free to vote based on your criteria.

Good luck!:)

You really ought to put all the candidates on the poll, so I’m going to give a write-in vote for the Debs/Hanford ticket. Anyone for the Prohibition Party? – it came 4th, with nearly 2% of the popular vote.

Roosevelt, without a doubt. One of the greatest men ever to fill the Presidency - soldier, statesman, author, conservationist, diplomat, trust-buster and much more.

TR is our greatest president. Of course I will vote for him Early and Often!

TR definitely.

I was deciding whether to do that, but since you requested I will include all candidates next time.

By the way I am the only for the Alton Parker.

We’re worried Teddy’s going to hit us with that big stick he’s always carrying if we don’t vote for him.

George Washington was not on the ballot in 1904.
