US Treasure approves Saturn sale . I wasn’t allowed to say this before it was officially released. The sale of Saturn has been approved by the Treasury. All of the guidelines have been met, GM going into bankruptcy will not affect Saturn. There are 11 bidders for the brand. As a Saturn team member and a loyal devotee of the brand, I am extremely happy with the direction this is all taking. We langquished for years as GM neglected us, and now we are going to have the opportunity to make the brand all it can be.
Outstanding!! As I said earlier, my ION is one of the best cars I have ever had.
As we get more details, I will happily pass them along. We won’t know who our buyer is until at least June 1st. I’m on pins and needles for them to get on with it already!

(bolding mine) I’m glad to hear that Saturn is being separated from GM–it deserves the chance to make it on its own–but what’s this about GM definitely going bankrupt? I hadn’t heard that that was happening for sure. Ot did you just mean ‘if GM goes into bankruptcy’?

This is great news…now Saturn can thrive, way from the dead hand of GM. Their costs will be lower, and they will be able to make a better product!
