I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on some recent pop stars passing away. These include Prince, Muhammad Ali, and even Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston:smack:. These were influential idols in our history and now they are gone. What is your say on this and what did they mean to us and how did they impact us?! Any thoughts are welcome.
Michael Jackson has been dead for seven years; Whitney Houston for four years. I don’t really get what you’re asking. Death isn’t a new invention and the influential people of any generation have all eventually died. Everyone dies. Time marches on. New idols and influences emerge. And so it goes.
They were alive :), and now they’re not :(. We were happy :), and now we’re sad :(. What more is there to say ?
be creative is all im saying. something you can not eventually do!
Oh, I’ll eventually get creative, I assure you.
Wow, it doesn’t feel like that long.
Nice.
His poetry aside, could Ali really be characterized as a “pop star?”
I’m tempted to report this thread for forum change, to “Mindless, Pointless . . . .”
I’m still here, and the works of those who have gone before me are still available for contemplation, enjoyment and inspiration.
Although my list of personages is very different than yours.
I haven’t even gotten over John Lennon’s death yet.
I’m still mourning van Gogh.
Search the forums. You’ll find threads for nearly every pop star and other celebrity who has passed. There are far too many to mention in just one thread.
Pop stars are getting older, particularly the ones from the 1960’s.
Old people die.

I welcome your thoughts on our creative processes.
I’m waiting for a few more to die before I comment. Beiber, I’m lookin’ at you.
He’s like 12, so you’re gonna be waiting a long time. Unless he pulls an Amy Winehouse.
Wat?
Is it me or does sound like a homework assignment?
