Really? Which expert says not only “torture is much less effective than you’d think” or “torture is very rarely effective” or even “torture is almost never effective” but says “torture is NEVER effective and is ALWAYS the worst option in all situations”?
Like I said, pretty much all of them. Whenever the subject comes up, it’s dismissed as useless, and as something that makes actual interrogation harder or impossible. The ineffectiveness of torture just doesn’t seem to be a controversy inside the interrogation expert community; only outside of it.
