Yeah, I know that, relatively speaking, a 164-ft-deep crater is “small,” and 800 sq miles of flattened trees is what happens whe Death chucks a pebble at us, but I’m still real glad my grandparents were on another hemisphere in 1908.
You have to think that it was quite fortunate that the wobbles of space didn’t send into the Earth about 5 hours later, and a hair to the south… :eek:
