- Season 4 was the best season of Angel.
- Billy Joel is as good a songwriter as Cole Porter.
- Store-brand 100% fake maple-flavored syrup is just as good as the real stuff.
- Mass Effect 3 had a kick-ass ending. So did Bioshock Infinite.
- Robert Jordan’s death was the best thing that could happen to the Wheel of Time books, and Brandon Sanderson is twice the writer Jordan ever was.
Considering that Kate Smith is dead, I don’t think you have to worry about that any time soon.

US slave descendants are owed real money by the people of the United States.
Any time anyone makes a statement that groups people along any ethnicity broader than a small population (say, nationality at most) they are being racist. (Yes, I’ve done this too, no doubt). And racial is racist.
#YesAllMen, actually.
and possibly most disagreeable:
In Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart was fairer than Charlize Theron. A lot fairer.
She should have been strangled at birth. Yes, I’m serious.

The government should get out of the business of banning drugs. As an observer only, it is clear that the drug laws have done more harm than the drugs could.

Corporate taxes should be abolished. The customer pays them anyway, not the shareholders; they lead to all sorts of compensatory tax givebacks, mostly unfair; and they give corporations incentive to hide their profits, especially in foreign countries.
Is there anyone in the world that would disagree with this?

Really? Those things set you off?
I am a big fan of Silvio Gesell’s and Margit Kennedy’s ideas about a monetary system without interest. Really fascinating and worth studying.
Also, I am quite an experienced complementary therapist and have helped people overcome a cat allergy, a height phobia, and a crippling driving anxiety this week alone. All in one session each.
- Most people, if you sat down and talked to them one-on-one, would turn out to be social liberals, but fiscal conservatives.
- I’ll call you whatever pronoun makes you happy, but surgery can only make you look female.
- The death penalty is not inconsistent with the aims of a moral society.
- Lots of words that people take grave offense to are really mildly offensive at best, and people need to learn to laugh at themselves and get over it.
- Cutthroat Island is an underappreciated and visually awesome movie.

It’s not satire. Seriously.

I just feel for anyone trans reading this thread. Geesh. :’(
What is a complementary therapist?
“You look nice today. Our time is up.”
A complementary therapy is one that can be used in addition to, or instead of, conventional western medicine.
That is a complimentary therapist. Nice post, by the way. Have a good day!

- 90% of what passes for Country Music nowadays is nothing more than pop and/or rock with twangy voice.
Could you please start a thread on this subject and your claims of healing phobias in one session?
Live fast, die young.
There’s a thought. It doesn’t seem very democratic to leave it up to the moderators, though. We could introduce a version of the ostracism of ancient Athens. Every couple of months, a list of posters who have been pitted is compiled. Then a poll is set up in IMHO asking if any of them should be banned. Those who get enough votes against them are out, no further questions asked.
