I was wondering if I was getting Below, At, or Above average bandwith with a new stick of RAM I just got today.
Your benchmark may be low due to a problem with one of the sticks of ram, or perhaps your bios needs to be adjusted for RAM timing. Try removeing two of the three sticks, and testing them one at a time. The system will only run as fast as the slowest stick, so if you have a faulty one, it will slow everything.
MB: Tritium Optical Induction FissionMaster 6KX (w/Quantum State Shift)
RAM: 50TB Kingston Holographic Bubble RAM
Disk: 1.44 Floppy
Implant: Shazbot Nostril Dongle (Standard model. I’m hoping to upgrade to the Buckawow Suppository after my next tax return.)
Int ALU/RAM Bandwidth: 43K Teraflops per second. Float FPU/RAM Bandwidth: 78K Teraflops per second.
Visio still runs slow on it, so I’m looking to upgrade, especially as new system prices have fallen into the low hundreds of thousands during the recent economic downturns. Until then, I’ll just struggle along with what I have.
