Postlets and Craigslist

I’ve been using Postlets to make some nice Craigslist ads, and I’m encountering a strange phenomenon that I don’t understand.

Postlets forces you into certain categories to describe your offering, and I try to override that by editing the HTML directly once it’s on Craigslist. When I go to “my account” and view my active listing, the HTML changes show up fine. But if I just go to the listing (as others would see it), it reverts to the original Postlets HTML. I know it takes some time for changes to show up on Craigslist, but I made these changes over 24 hours ago. I can’t see any link back to my Postlets file, other than to access the photos there and the border info.

Anyone know what’s going on?

I should add…

I made other HTML changes to the ad, outside the Postlets HTML, and they show up fine. It’s only stuff I do inside the Postlet’s HTML code that exhibits this weird behavior.

Again, the changes seem to have been made since they show up in the ad when I click on it from “My Account”, but they just haven’t shown up yet on the regular listing page.

Without giving away what my ad is, suppose I was selling a bike, and Postlets allows you to describe the color as either red, white or blue (but no other colors). I select “blue” when I’m on Postlets, but then once I cut and paste the HTML code onto Craigslist, I make an edit (on Craigslist) and go into the code, find “blue” in the features table (next to “color”) and change it to “green”.

When I check it from My Account, the features table clearly shows:

Color… Green

But when I look at the actual listing, it says:

Color… Blue
