I’ve heard a few times that we know more about space than about what lies beneath the seas. A recent discussion about sustaining life on Mars had me wonder about the extent of the various kinds of resources which are within the seas and beneath the seafloor. What do we know about that?
Also, if some cataclysm were to strike the earth and humans had a few centuries to prepare, how feasible would it be to continue humanity under the sea*?
*Would you kindly not make that reference which just popped into your head.
