Ok, I have seen this once and only once and was immediately annoyed. It’s too stupid not to become at least some sort of fad, here’s hoping it’s not. Here’s what I saw.
this 20 something Japanese woman, arguably one of the most fashion conscious groups in the world, was wearing tight jeans. Nothing new there, many many of them do, but at the top of the back of the pants there was a 3 foot denim strap hanging down like a tail. All the way to her heels. Presumably it was meant to be used as a belt of some kind but she was not wearing it that way. It was a tail out in public.
I hope that’s the last I see of this look but I fear it will not be.
No, but we are a major tourist destination for fashion forward females like these. I didn’t keep tabs on it but I also watched as the number of denim skirts among them went from nil to a moderately large amount
I have not seen a denim tail, but I think that the most disgusting new “trend” is men’s capris. I thought that this kid at my school who wore them was just mentally challenged, but I just saw a thing on MTV where Mark McGrath was wearing them! Sick.
Mens capri pants? HA HA HA HA I used to work with a guy (err I worked, he sat on his ass) who wore those, funny thing was he thought he was this bad ass weight lifter, he has shaved legs, little skinny legs no muscle at all on em. IT WAS SO FUNNY!! I couldnt stop laughing.
BTW it was rather disgusting, it looked like he stole his sisters pants.
Speaking of Capri pants…what were the designers at Old Navy thinking when they decided to market Boot-cut Capris?
Unless one is fond of wearing Wonder Woman hooker-style boots, there doesn’t seem to be a need for them… and all the girls in the commerical are wearing sandals!
I think this is an appropriate place for me to vent about sneakers without shoelaces. They are the stupidest-looking thing ever. Lots of kids at my school have them. Ick. I always feel like going up to the kids and saying, “What, you can’t tie your own shoes?”
This is the one that annoys me the MOST… plain and simple. The return of Bell Bottoms!?! I thought it would go away after last summer but it seams that it has only gotten more redicilious… no these dufus teenagers are wearing them so they are tight on the top and then too long with these huge bells that scrape the ground… this appears to put a huge amount of wear on the jeans. Too boot I was wandering arround one of those stores in the mall (can’t rember whick one) and all the Jeans looked like they were gotten out of a Good Will store… is’t the purpose of NEW jeans not to have them already beat to hell??? Of course this is comming from a guy who still wears straightleg DARK blue jeans, of course this could be back in style for all I know or care.
