Power supplies in series question

I have a bunch of cheap DC power supplies - current is adequate, but I need more voltage to drive my LEDs.
Any considerations before connecting two or more DC power supplies in series. When I have a little over-voltage I can regulate both voltage and current to the desired values of my LEDs.

Generally, this is OK.
Not considered the best design practice, but nothing should blow up or oscillate.

Pretty much what **beowulff **said, but I also want to add that the power supplies should be the same type, especially if they are switchmode.

Make sure the outputs are isolated from the power supply’s inputs or they could both use the same zero volt reference, which would effectively short one of them out if you try to put them in series.

An alternate solution might be to divide the LEDs into two sets if that is practical.
