I like to predict what clips the Academy will play when they introduce the best actor and actresses nominees.
The challenging thing can sometimes be finding a great scene with no language. I sometime wonder if writers/directors of Oscar calibre films don’t specifically film the best scene without language just for this very reason.
Any thoughts?
For PSH in Capote
I figure the Capote scene may be when Capote finally gets cold with his murderer friend. That line about there not being a single word or thought that could give Capote one ounce of enlightenment was genius.
For T. Howard in Hustle and Flow
Very few scenes don’t include a dozen F-Bombs. I seem to recall the scene at the music store where he trades his prostitute for a high end mike as a great scene.
For H. Ledger in BBM?
What about best Actress or the Supporting roles?
