Mrs. Bricker knew, even in the face of some gentle pooh-poohing from me. I kept telling her that it was very unlikely she would know so soon, not even being late on her period yet, and she kept saying she was SURE. So I told her we’d wait until the period was four days late, and then I’d bring home a pregnancy test.
Sure enough - the little line appeared, and in due course, so did Bricker Jr. So next time, I’m keeping my wise opinions to myself.
Of course, I’ve been threatened with bodily harm if we start another baby before the summer. But who knows?
