pregnancy

Harsher? Most big sibs I know (including myself) found babies to be terribly boring. As The Nephew put it, “someday I’ll have a little sister, for now we have a baby who will someday be my little sister”.

It’s the crying and the Mommy’s Holding That Thing AGAIN?! that tend to be a bit of a reality shock.

I am tired of peeing on myself

Do you want me to pee on you? It might make a nice change.

I had some serious back cramps this morning! They stopped for the most part but now I’m having a little bit of spotting. So something may be happening. I won’t know yet unless it gets worse. It would be kind of cool to have a Memorial Day baby.

My son was born 23 years ago, today. I used to tell him that the big Memorial Day BBQ fest holiday everyone celebrated was because it was his birthday. He never really believed me though - he’s been smarter than I am since he was 2.

I’ve been out most of the day, so I hope April R that you make one last post to us before you go to the hospital!

Nope. Cramps stopped. Dammit :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, it may be time to bring out the heavy artillery in terms of natural inductions: you’re going to need to buy some tickets to the most expensive show in town this weekend, and get a babysitter who cancels on you at the last minute. Make sure it’s one who will give you absolutely no notice. Then when you are frantically trying to find a replacement babysitter so you can go to your very expensive show, your labor will start. IF you manage to make it to the show, your water will break 10 minutes into the first act.

It’s a sure thing.

OK, April R has definitely reached the due date, a ways upthread she said thirty-nine weeks was Friday the 25th. It could be any time now, get the champagne and noisemakers ready.

I thought she wrote once her due date was June 1.

And why are we talking about her in the third person?

Because soon there will be a 4th person?

d&r

Hahahaha. If you all keep bringing the funny I may laugh this baby out!
And the date of due is the 1st. OMG soooooooo close!

You sound like you are speaking from experience :stuck_out_tongue:

AprilR, my thoughts are with you! I hope things speed up for you.

I’m 34 weeks pregnant with my second girl and hoo-boy, I’m ready to be done with it!

Not personal experience with this precisely, just a graduate of Murphy’s Law School. I won’t tell you how long I was(n’t) pregnant with my two, because you’d kill me right now and no jury would convict you. Let’s just say my cervix is in the accelerated program, and thinks lazy little layabout babies need to GTFO before the doctor thinks so.

Lol. I feel ya.

This little bit has had plenty of time to ruin my plans! No luck so far…:stuck_out_tongue:
My body is just about done, I got sick this morning and I have maybe puked 4 times this whole pregnancy. She is pushing and poking on everything, I can’t even hold down a glass of water and a prenatal vitamin

Isn’t a prenatal vitamin a meal unto itself?
Got any railroad tracks or potholed roads hubby can drive over?

With the local roads, you would have delivered six weeks ago:D

I ended up at labor and delivery tonight. My contractions are every three to five minutes and consistent, but I’m not dilating. So they sent me home on some ambien to help me sleep through the night. They said it could be as early as tomorrow morning, so good vibes!
