I was induced for both of my labours, so it’s a blessed miraculous sight which I’ve sadly never seen!
Lo l. I am going to ask the doctor tomorrow about inducing. I’m pretty much tired of being pregnant
IMHO, birth should not be induced without medical necessity. For example, my daughter’s labor had to be induced because of looming pre-eclampsia. Obviously I’m really glad they did because now I have a still healthy daughter and a wonderful grandchild. I know this condition can lead to the death of both mother and child.
However, her contractions were waaaay worse than I had with my unmedicated births.
IANAD, YMMV, of course.
I vote for inducing! Both of my last two labors were induced and were very fast. Hard contractions for about an hour or so, two pushes and away we go! I was past the due date on both of them.
Good luck April, I can imagine how frustrating it must be to be so close, but it’s just not happening. Hell, I’m ready now and I’m only 24 weeks! lol
Hang in there, April. It will happen. I can sympathize, since the one of my three that was closest to due date was only five days past. Try to get some rest if you can, and I hope your cold gets better very fast.

So on top of still being pregnant I got diagnosed with bronchitis today! I went to the OB and they said I still haven’t progressed at all and they’re not going to discuss scheduling any kind of induction or C section until my cervix is more favorable, whatever that means.
I feel frustrated and depressed and anxious all the same time. This just really sucks.
Oh, and to top it all off they couldn’t schedule me for my next appointment until next Friday which is the day before my due date.

A big glass of ice water might help. I can’t begin to tell you what a difference it made in my mood toward the end. The baby takes up so much water that I was in a constant state of dehydration, and it always made me feel depressed and desperate.
Also, an herbal tea with orange flavoring may help to soothe your throat and sinuses.
