Pardon me if I don’t take Stalin’s perspective on humanity too seriously.
Can you think of anything else that distinguishes Israel from any other state, as far as Palestinians are concerned?
No, but they have in common with other states that nobody wants Palestinians.

What set him off was Graham claiming that bombs started landing in Isreal IMMEDIATELY after withdraw. Michael D was there at that time and pointed out that Graham was factually incorrect. From Graham’s perspective, Gaza is the only party in the wrong and Michael D has a much deeper understanding of the region and totally disagrees with what are the critical issues in the region.
You really need to listen to the entire broadcast. Micheal D clearly has a history working with the region and was utterly disgusted by Graham.
The fact is, if Israel didn’t face attacks from Gaza, they’d just let the territory be. THe blockade only exists because militants attack Israel. Israel wants nothing to do with Gaza. But the Palestinians don’t actually care about independence. They certainly didn’t care when under Egyptian and Jordanian rule.
Not going to debate those issues here. Just wanted to say that if anyone enjoyed the short version, the long version (21.?? min) is even better. Michael D compares Graham’s grasp of international issues to that of Sara Palin who (paraphrasing) walks outside, looks up in the sky and declares herself an expert on Russia. He repeatedly calls out the Tea Party for hate and fear mongering and calls them a disservice to the US. He also says it’s disgusting that a person could work three jobs in the US and still not have health care.
Too bad he’s President of Ireland now. It would be cool if they could have a re-match, but I’d never expect a President of Ireland to lower himself to such an event.
From your perspective, I understand that statement. From mine, I was very proud to have the opportunity to vote him into that job, and I think it’s entirely cool he’s my President.
Bravo.
The Gentleman from Ireland is indeed a Gentleman of Principle.
It’s like listening to the captain of the Titanic lecture someone else on iceberg avoidance precautions.
How so?
I dunno, but it’s a great line. ![]()
I, for one, am proud to repudiate the organization that is even now preparing to invade Lubbock County.
You say that like it was a* bad* thing.
Interesting reading the comments on Michael Graham’s blog, where he says, “I found Deputy Higgins’ weak logic and unwillingness to acknowledge facts far more bothersome than the name calling.”
A lot of his own supporters disagree, and the consensus seems to be that he was pwned.
That radio interview was awesome. I’m still smiling twenty minutes after listening to it. Never knew who was the president of Ireland before, now he’s my new hero.
