Which President shot a family member?
was it Teddy Roosevelt? He used to take his kids on a bunch of hunting expeditions… one of them could have easily been shot somewhere along the line.
No, they named a toy bear after him because he refused to shoot a bear cub.
Could you be refering to Andrew Jacksons duel?

Doesn’t sound like they were related. Thanks for the link!
I was given another small point, this Pres. was in the last 50 years.
Gerald Ford
Alas, it wasn’t George Bush, Sr.
Well… this is a GUESS, not based on facts.
Dwight Eisenhower was German, and he fought in Europe during World War I. Is it possible that he shot a German cousin of his during combat?
I’ll go find out if Ford or Eisenhower are correct.
By the way, my Aunt is a trivia bug, and just loves to stump people, thats why I’m searching everywhere for the answer. All in fun! Thanks for your help, and I will by all means let you know what the answer is when me/you find it, or my Aunt breaks down.
Ford or Carter. I don’t remember which, but one shot his brother (accidentally, IIRC) in the chest. I think the bro lived.
It was Carter. Quess I screwed up posting this answer.
Sorry!
