The burrito was hot, and so a great deal of water was required to quench the resulting thirst… what other explanation could there be?

I can’t say I understand the strip myself. At least, not how the last frame fits in with the other two. The bald guy is “punishment” for the other because he shits? Or because he uses annoying euphemisms for shitting? Or am I on the wrong track entirely and he ATE a burrito, which now means he’ll be farting during their meeting? Or what? I sense there’s toilet humor involved, but I’m not sure exactly where it is.
If you’re asking how I would explain “drown a burrito” meaning “take a shit” to kids, I’d say, “He was in the bathroom pooping” or “moving his bowels” or “having a b.m.” . I switch it up in our house so our kids aren’t confused by what other people call it. Until they start using stupid euphemisms, of course! :smack:
The bald guy, Wally, is punishment because he is incredibly work-shy and will use any excuse to delay, procrastinate and avoid tasks. As a resource therefore, he is more of a hinderance than an asset!
The lame excuse in this case is just typical of Wally, but happens also to be amusing in its own right!
Technically, that could also work. I initially thought something along those lines (because of the coffee cup, but you wouldn’t drown a hot burrito with hot coffee), but then I noticed the paper and realised he probably meant he just got back from creating a mud-snake. Or pinching a loaf.
Probably had a burrito for lunch or last nights dinner.

Oh, I get it - toilet humour being the great British art form & all that - I was just playing along with the ‘explain it to a kid’ bit - my assumption being that you wouldn’t actually want to let on that Wally had been sinking the Bismark.
