I have a PDF of a drawing that is 22" x 34". How might I print it out full size on multiple sheets? Acrobat Reader by default prints it out reduced to fit 8.5" x 11". There is another setting that will print out a portion at full size, but I can’t choose which part to print.
Ideas?
Use the printer driver to print it in multipage mode. Use print preview to see what falls on each page. Use the print page option to select only the page with the section you want, and print it. You are stuck with it printing stuff where it falls though.
How do I do this?
I don’t see a print preview option. (Using Reader 7.0.8.)
Don’t see an option for this, either. Thanks for the help.
Copier/printer technician here. What **Harmonious ** meant is to go into the Properties of your printer driver and see if there are options to do what you want. Go to Start – Settings – Printers, right-click on the name of your printer, and click Properties. Look for a Page Layout or Page Setup tab, and check the Enlarge/Reduce and paper size settings available. You may still not be able to control which portion you can print, unless both Adobe Reader and your driver support highlighting a part of the drawing and doing a Print Selection. Sounds like you have already tried changing settings in the Page Setup of the PDF itself, so this will be your next step. Hope this helps.
Do you have access to a wide-format plotter?
It’s a printer properties adjustment, like all ready explained above. It’s the only idea I have, so I hope it’s useful.
Went to the local print shop. $2.25/sqf. About $14 for something I would have to scale up. Not worth it.
Went to the local library to do some copy/scale up stuff. Got what I think is usable for $1.20.
I’m happy.
