I scanned a 5 x 7 photo and am trying to print it 8 x 10 in the photo app in Windows 10. No matter how I change the settings it cuts off the bottom of the print and adds it to a new page. I want the whole thing on one sheet of paper. What am I doing wrong?
It has to be cropped somehow as they’re not the same ratios.
This. You’re either going to have to crop it, or you’re going to have to add white space around it (or at least along the longer sides) to size it to an 8"x10". An 8"x10" is more “square” than a 5"x7".
Printers should have a “shrink to fit page” option in the printer settings. Like already mentioned, this will make white spaces on the sides you can cut off later. You can also make the non printed margins as small as possible to get the photo as large as possible.

Simplest answers:
A. Cut three quarters of an inch off of the original.
B. Make the new picture a 7x10 instead of an 8x10
(Meaning do either A or B, not both at once)
