The list is ring Introductions, people, not entrances. The nominee is supposed to be the guy with the microphone who says who they are.
Unique Ring Introductions
- Ricardo Rodriguez
- The Brood
- Jimmy “Boogie Woogie Man” Valiant
- “My name is PAUL HEYMAN!”
Changed mine.

- Dario Cueto
- “My name is PAUL HEYMAN!”
He would announce sacrifices for Matanza on LU.

- Michael Buffer
I always liked when WCW would bring him in to announce the main event on Nitro. It gave it a big fight feel, especially on the rare occasions when Hollywood Hogan defended the world title on TV. He put in the effort to learn about the wrestler’s characters and their signature moves and would work it into the same style of patter he did for boxing matches, like hyping up Lex Luger as “the master of the Torture Rack”.
And yet the thing most people remember about Michael Buffer’s WCW run is him screwing up --the famous Bret “The Hitman” Clarke botch.
I must’ve missed that one, but then again I think I started losing interest in wrestling altogether around when Bret showed up in WCW and didn’t get it back for awhile- I didn’t even find out WCW had gone under until 2004 or so.

Speaking of Buffer --Triple H’s parody of him introducing of D-X with the “Let’s Get Ready to S*** IT” line.

- Samantha Irwin’s introduction of Chelsea Green
She does it in a fantastic Karen impersonation.
(Replaced my Brood one from earlier now that the topic is better understood).

- Samantha Irwin’s introduction of Chelsea Green
- Justin Roberts introduction of Jay Lethal
He does the “Elizabeth” part of “Elizabeth, New Jersey” in Macho Man Randy Savage’s voice, who Lethal used to imitate when he was Black Machismo.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages! Tonight, D-Generation X proudly presents your six-time WWE Tag Teag Champions of the worrrrrrrrrld - the Road Dogg Jesse James, the Bad Ass Billy Gunn, the New! Age! OUTLAWS!”
“And if you’re not down with that, we got two words for you…”
God, I hated them as a team, but I loved that intro.

- IRS
Mike Rotunda was a legit, though arguably a bit dull, worker. As IRS, he didn’t get a theme (unless he was with Ted DiBiase) and would just walk toward the ring with a mic and tell the audience that they were tax cheats and he was coming for them.
Next: Lame finishers
- Hogan’s leg drop of doom
Anyone else dropping a leg would be a weardown move but Hulk ended matches with it.
Lame finishers
- Hogan’s leg drop of doom
- Dusty Rhodes’ Million Dollar Elbow/Bionic Elbow
I think it was Arn Anderson who said “3 wrestlers run at Dusty and boop boop boop he hits them on the head with an elbow and they all go down. Nobody else could get away with that.”
Lame finishers
- Hogan’s leg drop of doom
- Dusty Rhodes’ Million Dollar Elbow/Bionic Elbow
- Mads Krügger’s backdrop
He’s MLW’s big masked monster who makes The Great Khali look like a ballet dancer. He hardly moves, just stands around and no-sells, and finishes his opponent by picking them up by the hips and dropping them on their back.
Lame finishers
- Hogan’s leg drop of doom
- Dusty Rhodes’ Million Dollar Elbow/Bionic Elbow
- Mads Krügger’s backdrop
- Kevin Nash’s Jack Knife Powerbomb
Unlike a regular powerbomb, Nash just lets the opponent drop to the canvas instead of actually putting in effort to drive him down. No wonder he was called “Big Lazy.”
Lame finishers

- Jake Roberts’ DDT
More of a setup move nowadays.
Ooooooh, that tickles…

- Mads Krügger’s backdrop
- Kevin Nash’s Jack Knife Powerbomb
- Jake Roberts’ DDT
- Dick the Bruiser’s Stomach Claw
- Bailey’s Bailey to Belly
Looks cool from the top rope but otherwise it looks like just a normal move.

- Kevin Nash’s Jack Knife Powerbomb
- Jake Roberts’ DDT
- Dick the Bruiser’s Stomach Claw

- The Rock’s People’s Elbow
It’s just an elbow drop with a dramatic flourish.

- Dick the Bruiser’s Stomach Claw
- Bailey’s Bailey to Belly
- Chris Jericho’s Walls of Jericho
It’s just a Boston Crab, which has been a transitional move for decades, but Jericho acts like it’s the hardest thing in the world to lock in and commentary sells it like it’s unbreakable even though it almost never ends a match.
