Not sure where this goes so I’ll try here first.
My Nook Simple Touch has a problem that nobody has seen before. The library is showing multiple copies of some of the books. Some have two, some have three. It’s not every book but it is most of them. One book will have the proper cover, the copies have a generic “title in a box” cover. Only one copy opens, the rest ask for my credit card info and then won’t accept it. When I open the Nook on my computer, only one copy shows. When I go to the BN website, only one copy shows. How do I fix this? Anybody?
You might try deleting the copies you can see when you’re browsing on your computer. IIRC, the books you actually buy from B&N are in a hidden folder, so I suspect the copies you can actually see are the bad ones. Worst case scenario is you have to re-download them.
Do you ever plug your reader in and manage it with another program? I’ve got this same reader, and I’ve had some problems with Caliber (an ebook management program) somehow copying the hidden B&N ebooks and then putting an (unreadable) copy on in another format.
I do have Calibre. Maybe that’s the problem. I’ll try your suggestion and see what happens. Thanks!
Since this is a hardware question, moved Cafe Soceity --> IMHO.
