Program to extract data from a graph

Perhaps datathief.

Eh, it’s still pretty clunky, but I had already gotten Wine up and working on this computer anyway, for running some old games. It still spat out a few hundred error messages to the terminal, but apparently none of them were for anything critical.

Hi,

I have recently developed a web app to help extraction of data from plots called “WebPlotDigitizer”, http://arohatgi.info/WebPlotDigitizer

It is also available as a chrome app.

There are video tutorials on the webpage, but feel free to mail me if you get stuck.

Ankit

I had to do this in grad school - had to extract a reasonably large dataset from a series of graphs published in a paper from the 1960’s. I asked my adviser if there was a good method to do this.

“Sure thing!” he said, and left the room.

I sat there for a few minutes waiting for him to return, thinking he was going to return with a computer disk or something.

He came back and said “here you go!”

And handed me a pencil, a stack of paper and a magnifying glass.

:frowning:

Took me a week.
