I used LSD on Wednesday night. As a result, my pupils were dilated. However, unlike my prior usage, my pupils didn’t return to normal after I woke up from the sleep after my acid trip. My pupils still seem to be dilated as of now. My vision is sharper and colors are more vivid, so I don’t feel like complaining. My eyes felt fatigued on Thursday, but that’s probably in part because I didn’t sleep till Thursday night (having being awake since Wednesday morning). Since Friday, my eyes haven’t felt tired.
Is having dilated pupils for this long OK? Should I take some medication to get them back to normal? Do I need to, or will they eventually constrict on their own? What’re the long-term effects of having pupils dilated this long?
I’ve always had the impression that LSD never wears off, but rather, you just get used to the current level of drug. In fact, if you go to the psychology dept. at school (funny how I assume you are at university), they will tell you that LSD users are easy to spot with personality profile tests due to some variance in certain responses. This is not for people currently high on LSD but for anyone who has ever done it. That’s right, once you do it, your brain never works the same again. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t work as well, just not the same.
Having said all that, you’re paranoid about your eyes. Go outside in the sun and you’ll be fine.
They should eventually return to normal functioning. Until then, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to wear a good pair of sunglasses while outdoors. Having never used LSD, I can’t say if this is normal, however.
