Alexandre Siniouguine is a party to a recent copyright proceeding. Apparently, Siniouguine is a “Russian national” but has been living in Los Angeles since the late 1990s.
Can anyone tell me what would be the correct pronunciation of “Alexandre Siniouguine”?
Siniouguine appears to be a French transliteration - the English transliteration would be Sinyugin, if that helps. The stress I think would be on the middle syllable.
La Côte d’Ivoire/Ivory Coast is obviously a French-speaking country. My favorite example is former President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. If he were from an English-speaking country, it would be something like “Felix Ufwe-Bwanyi.”
