Proof of how good a husband I am

I am converting my wife’s Saturday Night Fever soundtrack from vinyl to CD for her. Doing it right entails (shudder) listening to the entire thing. (Note that this is not piracy but fully within the limits of Fair Use as I am doing this solely for personal use as a more portable backup, like a cassette, and she/we already own the LP so I’m going to scream bloody murder if this thread gets closed. ) I use RIP Vinyl and it is one of the best seven bucks I’ve spent. In and out through the sound card line in- and outputs and the receiver’s tape in- and outputs. Except for any surface noise and other problems you already have with the record, and assuming your equipment is not lousy, the WAV files, and thus the CD, sound almost as good as a regular CD and far better than a cassette.

I have a collection of several hundred LPs and it’s good to finally be able to play them on a more regular basis with no fear of further damage. I just have to clear my brain after “Jive Talkin’,” but I’ve done my husbandly duty.

How deep is your love?
