Anyone doing it? Are there any modern-day Nostradamus types churning out reams of cryptic poetry that may or may not become true in x hundred years time?
I don’t mean the odd prophetic dream type of thing, I mean a full-time, real-life, authentic prophet.

There are plenty of Christian Churches that have prophets, or rather, members with prophetic gifts, which is not really the same thing as what you are asking…
I think the LDS church actually has a position within its heirarchy with the title of Prophet. There was a thread about the LDS Conference that mentioned this…

There has been an American named Edgar Cayce who did some “prophecies”. I dunno much about him, but there’s plenty on the web, I’m sure.
