News reports vary as to how many protesters are in Tahrir Square, but apparently it could easily be a few hundred thousand.
What sort of infrastructure is available for these people during the day? Like the thread title asks, where do they pee? Where do they get meals and drinks? Do they sleep in the square, or do they go home at night?
Have food stands and portable toilets sprung up via entrepreneurs? Presumably the government would not be inclined to supply these necessities.
tv news shows medical clinics and food and water. they will maybe split into smoking and nonsmoking areas. people staying in tents.

I have a brother-in-law going to the protests. People are coming and going from the protests all the time, bringing in food, water and medical supplies.
Some are sleeping at home, others in the square.
As for toilet facilities, I had the same question, they are using the restroom of a mosque that faces the square. I believe its the same one that was pressed into service as a clinic during the fighting.
Many news programs have mentioned the hordes of entrepreneurs who are making their fortunes selling food and supplies to the protesters.
They were especially active a few days ago before stores, banks, and ATMs started to reopen. I assume they’ll be around as long as the crowds are, though.
