For one thing, acid just lasted too long. Take a hit, and you are out of it for the next 12 hours. With shrooms or mescaline, it only last four to six hours.
Also with acid, it’s more intense and you have less of an ability to guide your thoughts. To analogize: Acid is like being whisked away down a roaring rapid. The other is like meandering peacefully down a quiet stream.
By “meditating” I just mean I sat on my bed, with music playing softly in the background. I dug seep into my personal psyche. The shrooms I believe helped lift barriers that would have made such a level of introspection impossible. In a very mild way, it changed my world view.
That’s true. It is the Peter Jackson of psychedelics.
It does make the plateau about 4 hours long which can be nice. Two movies worth. And that length is probably why it’s chosen for microdosing by programmers. The effects of 10-50 micrograms really aren’t that bad over 12 hours.
The page I linked to specifies that the average mescaline dose “barely fits into a fully packed large capsule with no fillers”.
A microdot isn’t liquid…it’s a tiny pill (top picture in the link) - and as indicated, can’t be mescaline. Neither was the liquid dose you put in your eye. If the chocolate square you ate was mescaline, it would have tasted horrible - unless it was a HUGE square.
A standard mescaline dose lasts about 12 hours.
Don’t feel like you were the only one…it was (and probably still is) a common marketing ploy.
About 15 years ago I smoked some salvia. I didn’t feel anything and complained that I should have just bought some weed instead. Instantly after that I heard a thunderclap and a woman’s voice told me never to compare her to marijuana. There was a witch behind me, I never saw her but I knew she was there. I wasn’t just under her spell, I became the spell. I’ll never be able to describe that. After an eternity of being a witch’s spell (yeah I know that sounds batshit crazy) I slowly regained consciousness but I was melted into my couch. My hand was on the tv remote control and the buttons were my fingers… what a strange drug that was.
A few weeks passed and my friend decided to try it. He started laughing, then crying, and then he tried to strangle me. If my father hadn’t heard us struggling I may not have survived that. My friend claimed that demonic disney characters were trying to drag him to hell, and I was one of them.
