Hank Johnson: 41,178 votes (59%)
Cynthia McKinney: 28,832 votes (41%)
Ah, well . . . The people have spoken . . . Let Johnson get on with the hard work, and I’m sure McKinney will find some other venue in which to be a painful, festering, well-deserved boil on Bush’s butt! 
McKinney could go on the road with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson on the “Brass Ring of Victimhood” tour.
That, and she’ll have more time to devote to legal actions involving her assault of a police officer. And she’ll also have the time to pursue her run for President…. of the Tupac Shakur fan club.
Alas, we will miss the entertainment value she provided. So here’s to Cynthia, may your bodyguards take your wooden splinters with the gratitude for which the voters intended.

There probably was some mild disappointment in GOP ranks over McKinney’s defeat. It’s so convenient when faced with a jerk who spews paranoid nonsense to pretend that such a person typifies one’s opponents.

Are you sure it’s all nonsense? I see absolutely no reason to take seriously any theory about the Bush Admin arranging for the 9-11 attacks. OTOH, if they knew about the attacks in advance and did nothing, even deliberately stood down any defenses that might have stopped it . . . that would not surprise me one little tiny bit. It should be very clear by now that this administration is morally capable of high treason.

I ask this because it was the lunacy of the accusations that Bush et al allowed the 9-11 attacks which caused me to rethink my beliefs about the Lusitania & Pearl Harbor. (I’m still suspicious about Wilson’s crew, not as much about FDR’s).
Don’t know much about those. In any case, I doubt Wilson or FDR would have been morally capable.
I’m relieved, at any rate, that everybody in this thread appears to be too intelligent to ask why the Admin* would have wanted to allow the 9-11 attacks to succeed.
