Pulled a Woman out of a car yesterday.

That makes is more clear. Thanks.

It seems strange to me that someone who is already stopped at a red light would ‘jump the gun’. I know – or at least presume – people do it, but I think it’s more unlikely than likely. On the other hand, people will try to ‘beat the light’ and squeak through on yellow. The Scion driver kept saying she ‘had’ the yellow. Personally, I think yellow is not green. Nevertheless, I’ve used the Starman rules myself. I got a ticket in Canada once because I did not correctly judge the length of the yellow light and accidentally passed through on red. (This was like two or three in the morning, so I was the only vehicle on the road.)

Of course I wasn’t there, but my armchair guesswork is that the woman attempted to beat a red light, thought she was safe to go through on yellow, but the light turned red before she actually entered the intersection. At the same time, the sedan driver was itching to go and was probably watching the yellow light so that he could take off the instant his light turned green. (Yeah, I’ve done that.)

I’m not sure, but I think the sedan was not stopped at the light but was approaching in a lane with no vehicle stopped at the light. And then she entered the intersection at speed. That’s the only way I think she could have hit the Scion hard enough to send it rolling.
