Punk Covers of Rolling Stones Songs

So the recent thread about the Stones put me in the mood to listen to them, so the past two days I’ve had all the studio albums shuffling about on WinAmp. I got to thinking about punk covers of Stones songs. Off the top of my head there’s:

Dead Boys-“Tell Me”
Supersuckers-“Before They Make Me Run”
Chelsea-“All Over Now”
Social Distortion-“Backstreet Girl” and “Under My Thumb”
The Chesterfeild Kings-A whole bunch of Stones covers (and originals that sound more Stones-like than the Stones since 1965)
Devo-“Satisfaction”
Ramones-“Out Of Time”
Modern Warfare-“Stret Fighting Man”

So does anybody know any other ones that I’m forgetting or just don’t know about?

I forgot about Joan Jetts covers of “Let It Bleed” and “Star Star”.

I once saw the Meat Puppets, as an encore, cover about five songs that the Rolling Stones had covered, Howling Wolf’s “I Just Wanna Make Love to You”, to give one example.

Did Siouxie and the Banshees cover “Paint it Black”? It sounds right, but I haven’t found anything on the net.

The Feelies covered “Paint It Black”.

Eric Burden & the Animals…“Paint it Black”
The Epics…“Blue Turns to Grey”

Gob covered Paint it Black, too (although calling them Punk is likely to get you impaled by the Punker Than Thou types.)

Popular song.

Back in the day, the local radio station would often play a version of Paint It Black performed by Echo and the Bunnymen. Really cool. I wish I could find it.

The Meteors’ version of “Get Off My Cloud” (psychobilly).

Add to that the awesome versions of “Paint It Black” by Anti Nowhere League and The Avengers. I can’t believe I forgot about those!

You Forgot Jane’s Addiction’s Sympathy for the Devil.
