What is this beagle thing that you speak of?
When I need a beagle fix at work…I head over to Beagles On The Web!
btw, life is much smoother now that mrs beagledave’s clothes basket is safe from exploratory sniffing…

My little Vinny is a tan miniature dachshund. He loves me dearly. He eats anything that doesn’t bite him back, including ants, bugs, beatles, and frogs. He grabbed a frog the other morning and it must have been bad because he spit him right out and foamed at the mouth. Don’t think he’ll be doing that any more. He loves to play with empty 16 or 20 oz. plastic drink bottles, until he has crushed them flat, then he loses interest.
He’s fat, weighs almost twice what he is supposed to, so he’s only 10 months old and on a diet. He is bow-legged and his short, stubby legs just won’t let him go as fast as he wants to.
I swore to myself that I wouldn’t get attached to another animal, too late. He’s like my child.
My Ladybug is my darling, darling girl! She’s the sweetest lab mix you ever saw. Good manners, most of the time, and always eager to please. She just loves loving! If I’m down, I play with her, or rub her belly and it all goes away for a little while. Here’s her picture.
Here is a picture of Snoopy, my 11 year old Golden Retriever. She is such a sweetheart! She has been an indoor dog ever since she was about a year old; however, despite a slight case of arthritis, she still loves to run around outside, chasing everything from airplanes to small animals.
Though she has had no formal training for field retrieval (as she would if she were a hunting dog), she is very skilled at catching and releasing birds without injuring them. The first time she did this, she attempted to bring the bird in the house. My mom didn’t realize Snoopy was carrying anything until she noticed to small, moving bird feet sticking out of the dog’s mouth. Snoopy also likes chasing lizards, which can always be found sunning themselves on the deck at my parents’ house. Sometimes these lizards manage to get inside the house. Snoopy loves hunting them down and taking them back outside, where she plays with them for a few minutes before letting them go.
Snoopy always seems to know when I (or any other member of the family) isn’t feeling good or is unusually sad. She’ll come over to you, rest her head on your leg, and look at you with with those big, sweet brown eyes…
One of Snoopy’s favorite indoor activities is lying in the middle of the floor on her back while kicking her back legs in the air. She often does this while grasping a toy between her front paws. Sometimes she chews on the toy as she is kicking her legs. It’s so cute! She also has a rather large “tickle spot” on her belly. If you scratch it just right, she’ll get so excited that she’ll kick both of her feet for you.
