Yeah, mudding and taping drywall is a skill that develops over many, many jobs. If you are trying to do it yourself for the first (or fifth) time, you’ll likely not be happy with the result. For the theater I did all my own electrical and framing, but I hired pros to do the drywall. I did do all the finish work as well, as mentioned. But I left the drywall to the pros.
This reminded me of something that happened to me 10 years ago. A .40 round came thru my roof and ceiling in almost pristine shape. Unrelated to the bullet, the roof was due for a replacement anyway, but I still have a hole in my ceiling. Guess I’ll have to finally get it fixed before I retire and move out in the next several years.
