Nasa has a neat little project going. They’re burning names into a CD which will be buried in a comet by the spacecraft which is due to crash into Comet Tempel 1 in July, 2005.
You can go to the website and add your name for free to the CD. I think it’s a pretty neat idea.
Wouldn’t the CD get scratched?

Doesn’t matter. I’ve heard that aliens have superior CD player technology. In fact, it’s so advanced, that they have forgotten how to play LPs, and have no idea how to listen to the gold record which was sent on * Voyager. *
