Putting a Search Engine on a website.

Okay, I have alredy configured, indexed, etc a search engine and it is located here:
http://www.1728.com/swishe/search.php3
I’ve got a little more fine-tuning to do on it, but my question is this:
How can I make that search box appear on my index page
www.1728.com
thereby eliminating the extra step of “Want to search the site? Click here” ?
(THAT I can do).

I’m not sure if this involves HTML, JavaScript, PHP or something else, hence the reason for not putting it in the thread title.

Cutting and pasting the code from your search page onto your index page should work fine. Just make sure that the refer to your search page (I think it’s the value next to the “action” tag) is linked properly to the search page.

On my blog, I have a similar search box that I copied off another pmachine site (I stupidly deleted mine while redesigning the page.) It works fine, so I see no reason why yours shouldn’t work as well. The coding looks the same.
