There was the (real, not fictional) son of Puritan parents, with the given name of Except-Christ-Had-Died-For-Thee-Thou-Hadst-Been-Damned. Wonder whether his friends called him Sep?

Oh, there’s many, many examples of this sort. As I said: the Puritans were a weird bunch. Personally I feel sorry for “Kill-Sin Pimple”.

And note that If-Christ-had-not-died-for-thee-thou-hadst-been-damned was Praise-God Barebone’s son. According to that link he preferred “Nicholas”. Can’t really blame him.
