Some shirts or jackets of a uniform have “thick straps” across the shoulders, running parallel along the length of the shoulder from arm to neck, roughly. These “thick straps” are, typically, secured at either end and loose in the middle.
What is the name for these “thick straps”? When I say thick, I mean in width. Typically, they may be about 1-in in width. Any clue?
