Quackery online, and on the radio

I listen to the radio a lot during my weekends at work, and I sometimes hear “infomercials” that peddle products that are totally bogus, or only reveal themselves as bogus after a little investigation.

So the purpose of this thread, is for you to tell the world what products you have seen for sale that are totally fraudulently presented, or make false claims…

The two I know most about are Harmony-tokens and CalMax.

See here for the tokens: (you’re gonna love these claims)

And here for a complaint about CalMax:

I wrote to the Harmony Token guys asking for “scientific proof” of their claims, and other hard questions, but got no reply… Go figure.
Today I wrote to the manager ofd the station showing him how CalMax was quackery.

Any of you taken steps to try to stop quackery in your area?
Anyone have any beefs with specific products?
Tell us all about it.
Stupendous man!
So show us your most fraudulent products. Links are good if you have em.

Being a survivor of numerous infomercials, I must state that I thought we had laws requiring any product pitched to the public to actually do as claimed.

I guess not.

The laws exist, but most of these POC products are peddled by little fly-by-night outfits that’ll disappear faster than a Big Mac in Bill Clinton’s office if anyone makes a serious attempt to pin them down. They’re like crack dealers.

Polling-style questions are best suited to our forum In My Humble Opinion. I’ll move the thread there for you.

Another casualty of the newbie poster.
Thanks!
