Well, talons themselves are keratinous structures similar to very thick fingernails (claws) or horns. They are kind of tough.
Presumably you’d only release it when there’s an unwanted drone around (in which case it’s likely the only drone around). You don’t just let it fly around on its lonesome, attacking stuff.
