Your position is massively ignorant and foolish. If leaders ascribed to it, the chance of mass nuclear annihilation would jump massively. If we had nuked either Korea or Vietnam, then nuclear obliteration might have followed shortly after.

Also, what the fuck, you’re saying that the conventional British military isn’t fully capable of acting as a deterrent against an aggressive Argentina? Because I think I can point to some history that contradicts your theory.
Forgot to mention that using nuclear weapons would almost certainly result in death and suffering for thousands and thousands (and maybe more) of civilians. That’s a morally wrong thing to do under all but the most unusual circumstances – circumstances that certainly weren’t met in the Falklands, Korean, or Vietnam wars. So that’s another reason why the idea is totally nuts (and morally reprehensible).
