A charming local asshole called Simon Hickey, proprietor of Smerff Electrical, has been outed by our local media as supporting “The Daily Stormer” a darling little nazi website with illuminating sections on its website like “Jewish Problem” and “Race War”. His logo is a smiling green frog in an SS uniform in front of the gates of Auschwitz. Unbelievable. And what a whining little shit he is too, if you hold your nose and read his website.
What I find depressing is the knowledge that for the 90% of people who - after his being outed today - wouldn’t call on his services even if their faithful dog was being electrocuted, you just know there are 10% who will applaud the dickhead and use him because he’s such a skeered, whiny, racist, xenophobic, little bitch (just like they are).
Ah well, I can’t be responsible for my neighbours, I suppose.
Since his own “company” website is plastered with blatant right-wing propaganda, it’s hard to see how he needed to be outed.
It’s so on-the-nose I wonder if he’s not just a troll (either right-wing or garden variety) out for clicks. He even mentions increasing his google ranking on the site.
Either way, yeah, what a piece of shit.
For those who don’t want to click on this ugly turd’s own websites, here’s a news article:
The article suggests that he is at least registered as an electrician, although not a member of the Electrical Trades Union.
I suspect that he spends more time sitting under bridges than installing air conditioners.
A small business doesn’t need everyone. If yesterday no one had heard of him, he would have had zero customers. If tomorrow a thousand people have heard of him, it only takes 1% of those people to be racist scum and he will have ten loyal customers, which would do him nicely. It’s depressing but probably true.
I read the statement at the end of the article, and I’m obsessed with two sentences:
“The insane far left agenda pushed by the western worlds media has been exposed for the fraud that it is after their coverage of Hilary Clintons (sic) election loss. Trump has called you out as the enemies of the (American) people.”
Clearly the (sic) was inserted by the newspaper. But (American)? I can only assume that the newspaper substituted that for some other term. Perhaps the original wrote, “Trump has called you out as enemies of the Seppo people?”
Princhester, be grateful that by your estimate he might only receive 10% of the people’s support in your neck of the woods. Around here, he might be elected to high office. And again- the fuckin frog??
More likely the original quote was “Trump has called you out as the enemies of the people.” and they just inserted the term as a qualifier. This is a Brisbane newspaper, and they were clarifying that Trump was not referring to Australian people.
Notice the sentence that follows what you quoted: “However in your case, replace that with Australian.” That indicates that they needed to have a qualifier of “people” in the original quote as a point of reference.
According to this paper (PDF), about 5,000 out of about 110,000 Jews living in Australia. (The great majority of Australian Jews live in Sydney and Melbourne, and are concentrated into a few suburbs.)
I see that he has two businesses - Smerff for capturing the racist dollar, and “Air Conditioner Expert” for normal people.
It would be nice to think that this article might drive normal people away from *both *businesses, but sadly “Air Conditioner Expert” is generic enough that most people will probably have forgotten by Tuesday that it has anything to do with anything.
He’s listed on hipages, by the way. Maybe they need a headsup…
Wow, that’s even lower than I would have thought. I had a couple of Jewish friends at college, and I remember thinking that for all that one reads about Jews generally - in literature and history - growing up in Brisbane they were the first Jews that I had (knowingly) met.
