Quentin Tarantino denies F-13th rumor. Film at never.

Just thought I’d pass on the official word, courtesy of Chud.com.

I’m such a pathetic shill for Tarantino that I love to hear any news about his activities, even if it is just hearing about what he’s not doing.

Damn! I hadn’t even heard that rumour, but I love the idea of experienced, talented directors making Friday the 13th movies. They could each write and/or film one and compete against one another. Oliver Stone could weave in footage from past movies and bring in Jason’s backstory, Coppola could have Jason travelling down a river that feeds Crystal Lake. Oh the possibilities…

Great idea.

M. Knight Shyamalan could do one where it turns out that all this time, Jason has actually been a half-naked teenage girl on the verge of getting laid.

Shouldn’t they really can that series?

I imagine a courtroom scene. Those in attendance are watching a film being played an old projector. The film is blurry, jerky, and often out of focus. Suddenly, we see in the film Jason jump out and go at the crowd. While this is happening the scene pans over to the prosecutor, who has been narrating the film as it played. With the looks of shock and horror overcoming the faces of the courtroom spectators in the background, we hear the hear the prosecutor say, “And here we see the victim’s head fall back and to the left. Back, and to the left. Back… and to the left…”
