Queries for persons who have taken SPIRIVA for a few years.

What time of day do you take it? Do you think it matters when you take it?

Have you had any significant dry eye or dry mouth problems that are attributable to the medication?

Since the OP is asking for personal experiences, this is best suited to IMHO.

I don’t use it, but I prescribe it. I haven’t gotten any firsthand reports of such problems, but a cursory websearch revealed a few case reports of people who had those symptoms and were on Spireva. Caution: correlation does not necessarily mean causation.

But given the fact that tiotropium is an anticholinergic, it may mean something.

I think I started taking Spiriva before Nov 2006, not sure. Anyway, I did not experience any side effects until I got an OTA antenna and started watching TV with commercials. Now I have a whole list of symptoms.

I am curious as to what time of day others take it and if they feel it makes any difference.

I’ve never used it - but if dry mouth is a symptom that might cause dental problems.
I know that when I started using a CPAP, my teeth had more of a problem with tartar buildup possibly due to the mouth falling open and the airflow drying things out.

So my point is: if the timing of the inhaler affects when your mouth is dryest, try taking it at a time when you can compensate (drinking water during the day or whatever). Obviously discuss this with the doctor / dentist, make sure you’re taking it at a time of day when it benefits your breathing, etc.
