Just how many years do you think have passed in the 24 world between the first day in season 1 and the last day this season? They have implied (and I think at least a few times out right stated) that one or two years have passed between each season with maybe one or two exceptions so it seems like it could be anywhere from 12 to 16 years. A long time…
I never watched it, but I always thought it was eight seasons = eight days.

3 years between 2 and 3.
18 months between 3 and 4.
18 months between 4 and 5.
20 months between 5 and 6.
3 and half years between season 6 and Redemption.
65 days between Redemption and season 7.
18 months between 7 and 8.
That comes out to being about 14 years, 4 months between season 1 and season 8.
