The question is if I had a teeter totter or catapult for instance. On one end I attatched a coiled spring with say a 10# weight on top. I had engineered the spring to compress up to 90% with a 10# weight while accelerating at calculated g forces.
Would the spring have any affect on the forces being detected by the throwing arm or have any affect on the speed of the throwing arm. My gut feeling is no but it doesn't feel right.
